Assistant, Concert Marketing

Reports to: Assistant Director of Marketing
Position Classification: Non-Exempt
Position summary:
The Assistant is responsible for: working with the Assistant Director of Marketing to execute promotional and outreach strategies and activities in support of concert sales; working with the Assistant Director of Marketing to coordinate all group sales initiatives and relationships; managing various off-site partnerships and promotional efforts; executing advertising and promotion strategies for Educational concerts for general audiences; assisting with Playbill needs; and supporting general administrative needs of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and implement group sales strategies and cultivate relationships.
- Coordinate and process all group sales transactions.
- Coordinate with the Development Department to ensure fulfillment of corporate sponsorship group sales.
- Track all budget expenditures as it relates to specific programs.
- Coordinate various off-site audience development and promotional efforts.
- Execute house papering and/or grass roots outreach programs, when necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in live entertainment.
- Demonstrated excellence in coordinating marketing plans and tracking budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to function as a team player, work in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong computer literacy especially a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint.
Passion and/or knowledge of Jazz preferred.
