Jazz at Lincoln Center is committed to making quality jazz print music available to student and professional musicians around the world. There are numerous titles available, including transcriptions of classic jazz recordings and arrangements for younger bands with more titles added annually. While most are scored for big bands, there are a number of small group titles as well. Essentially Ellington: Through the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center has transcribed over 60 Duke Ellington Orchestra recordings, published them, and made them available to jazz bands across the world. Each transcription provides performance notes and most include a reference recording with interpretations of the charts by the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. All charts are scored for big band, but please refer to each title as exact instrumentation varies. Essential Jazz Editions is a series of scores for jazz ensembles transcribed from classic jazz recordings. This 10-year project, co-produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History, and the Music Division, Library of Congress, begun in 1999, will ultimately represent the breadth of the jazz canon. A set of five charts is produced and published each year, beginning with early jazz standards and continuing throughout the history of the music. Each original transcription includes historical and performance notes. Scores are edited by David Baker, Music Director of Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra.

Jazz for Young People® Series: The Jazz for Young People® series features jazz ensemble arrangements by today's leading jazz arrangers. Designed for the easy to medium levels (Grade II & III), these charts are based on the repertoire from the Jazz for Young People® Curriculum. These arrangements wil also be available from Alfred Publications and correlate with their "Young Jazz Ensmble Series" and "Jazz Band Series."
