In the film The Princess and the Frog, jazz music connects families, friends and the entire New Orleans community. At Jazz at Lincoln Center, we believe jazz can do the same for you.

Jazz is a world of colors and dancing tones, all working together. Listen closely and jazz becomes your new best friend. Through jazz, you can even learn about history, math, geography and social studies.

Mostly though, jazz is a music of communication. It can help you appreciate your own creativity and the creativity of others. At its very core, this music affirms our belief in community and the dignity of human life. And if we let it, jazz will teach us in ways beyond our imagination, exactly who we are, where we've been, and where we should be going.
